In space...no one can hear you scream. Unfortunately, that's not the case here on Earth. *screams very very loudly, although you can't hear it, so all I'm really doing is scaring my mom and perhaps the fish down in the basement*. Well, at least I have one exam done. How is Dubliners a chapter in the moral history of Ireland? Pfft. Don't ask me. All I know right now is Biology. Ask me anything about cellular respiration, tRNA, or the Calvin's Cycle and I can answer. Anything outside that realm doesn't exist (yet...just wait until Saturday).

Happy Towel Day!
In honour of Douglas Adams, I'm reading the entire Hitchhiker's trilogy again, all five books. Or is it six?My Hobbit name is Dimple Chubb-Baggins. My Jedi name is Tsuli Potor from the Planet Alcohol (don't ask). Thanks to usr/bin/girl for the links.

There's a cardinal in the backyard. It's been living in our neightbourhood for the past couple of years, but I've been seeing it in our yard everyday for the past few days. I think it's living here. I feel...honoured. :) I'm too used to seeing cheeky black squirrels and robins raiding the yard; a bright red cardinal is a refreshing change.

I'm a Mud Guppy! I have to say that CoolSigs is the friendliest, most level-headed and spiffiest forum I've been to. The other one's I've visited have had fights, brawls, immature threads and flaming like you wouldn't believe it. So kudos to the folk at CoolSigs!!
Hooray for referral logs....A referral from a Google search for "James Joyce arby"...Araby? Dubliners is fun. Very fun. Studying "The Dead" in english class today. I thought it was a short story collection. Also, you're welcome

I'm not sure what to feel about this. Apparently, the Living Colours blog was a combination of the experiences of three people who had cancer. Debbie has written an apology and explanation of the whole thing. I don't think Debbie wanted to hurt anyone.
I believe that someone called Kaycee was real, (though the blog wasn't really hers), and has passed away. The grief felt by her family and friends is real. To quote the BWG, "my only regret is that kaycee is no longer living. that's really the bottom line, isn't it?"
What kind of cat am I? Apparently I'm an Ocicat: "The Ocicat is both playful and devoted. She may spring into action on a whim at any moment, or languidly pass an hour away in the lap of a loved one. The Ocicat is happiest with friends and struggles at being solitary for any period of time. Her exotic, no-fuss coat is a breeze to maintain, and looking her best comes easily. Inquisitive by nature, she gets into trouble from time to time. But any trouble is soon forgotten because she is off on a new adventure in a flash!"
Umm...not really. If I were to be a little, furry animal, it would have to be this:

There are days when I absolutely can't stand computers. I mean my classes. Instead of writing an exam, we have to write a program in C++ that involves CGI. Which is great because I hate writing exams, even computer ones. But it's not so great when the program doesn't work. I've checked to code over and over, it compiles properly, but the actual webpage takes forever to load. I've tried commenting out most of the code, making new functions and changing the class that the teacher gave us, but nothing works. Maybe it's the computer...
(Later...) Alright, I've got it narrowed to one, single, annoying line of code that slows everything down. Just one line of code. Argh! I'm going to pull all my hair out over this.
(Even later...)
Right now, I'm a combination of Urd and Skuld: confusion/cluelessness and annoyance verging on absolute rage. Where's that hammer?
You may address me as Pondscum.
(Later...)Pardon me. I am now a Li'l Wriggler.

Never, ever, forget your towel. Especially on May 25th, the unofficial "Towel Day" in memory of Douglas Adams, author of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. More info here.

*screams* You'll notice that my iMood is still Spastic (note: captial 's'). Why? Because digitalrice isn't working again. It's probably the same bug that affected it two days ago. And my archives still haven't shown up yet.
On a more happy note: I've just had my 101st visitor! Woohoo!

Ninja Burger: this is the funniest thing in the world. Especially because I'm sending out resumes and filling out application forms like there's no tomorrow. Reason for going Ronin: Dishonoured or Daimyo killed. Hmm....

Over at Asian Avenue, members were recently asked about their experiences as an Asian American (or Canadian ^_^). This is what jashik29 had to say:
"Evil rice. The most mystifying phenomenon about being an Asian American is that... annoying piece of rice that always seems to be stuck at the bottom of your sock... you know its there but don`t bother to take it off cuz' its all crusty or gooey..."
I have to say.....that is so true. Rice is evil and it's sticky and it's out to get socks everywhere.

Somehow I have to learn how to use FTP. I'm registered with digitalrice now, and my account is activated, but I can only FTP my main site (this blog) over, without the picture because blogger does it for me. Lessee....CuteFTP sounds, well, cute. So let's try this baby out...
(Later) Sweet! I've learned how to use CuteFTP. It's surprisingly easy to use, even for a dunce like me. So now the site is at digitalrice instead of geocities....no more annoying pop-ups! Sweet!

Today is not a good electronics day....methinks that the Blogger ftp to Geocities only works when I'm actually logged in at Geocities. In addition to this, I took some pics with my dad's digital camera, but it doesn't seem to want to connect to the computer properly.
sugarhigh, bloggy-blog-blog. Thanks to this blogmistress, I'm checking out digitalrice.com instead of geocities. 48 hours until my site is activated. *cackles gleefully*....I just like the name. Digital Rice.
Hee hee hee! The Leafs won again! Booyah! Booyah! Booyah! Series tied 3 to 2. One more and we're golden....

Today was MAD. Music, Arts, and Drama day. Some of the displays by the OAC art students are amazing. However. My AP Computer class is in desparate need of review for the AP Compters exam next tuesday. So wer all have to miss all the plays, a workshop and some music. Pooh. And my toe still hurts.
For those of you who don't know yet, Tina won the million dollars on Survivor 2: The Australian Outback. Towards the end, I was kind of rooting for Colby, but either one was fine. Not like the first series. I didn't want Kelly or Rich to win.
Ah yes...And the Leafs won again: 3-1 over New Jersey. I've said it before, and I'll say it again....Booyah!

"Man it's a hot one ... like seven inches from the midday sun..."
- Santana, "Smooth"
30 degrees celcius today. And there was a smog alert today. Perfect combination. The school finally turned on the air con today ("We have air con?"). Ahh....nothing feels better than coming home and changing from a sticky school uniform into a tank top and shorts and eating ice cream...
I've never seen anything like this before: Exploding Dog. But I love it. The person who runs it takes titles that readers send in and draws a picture to go with it. Very creative and funny.
Non sequitur: your brain can't feel pain. But I bet it can if you go to SCS. We were this close to getting "My brain hurts" as our grad class slogan on our grad sweaters. Instead we have "It was all a dream", which is, if I'm not mistaken, the title of Dream's new CD. Okay, I for one don't want the name of some teeny-bopper album printed on my back. Actually the first time we voted for it, the top choice was something completely different (and sounded a lot better). But those who didn't want it complained until the class president allowed a second vote. Yeesh. As long as it isn't orange with baby blue writing, I'll be happy. But no orange.
