Goodbye Tickle Trunk... "Ernie Coombs, TV's Mr. Dressup, dies at 73." Mr. Dress-up was, and still is, my favourite kid's show. I remember wanting a dog because Finnegan was so cute. Drawing became my favourite hobby because Mr. Dress-Up did it, too. I remember the simple crafts made of old egg cartons, some felt and a couple of toilet paprt rolls. This may sound a little cheesy, but he made me want to have a grandpa (both of mine died many years ago) that was just like him. Condolences to his family, and thank you for being such a great friend to kids everywhere.
