Skkkknnnxxx... *sound of Dagwood snoring*. I guess it's a good thing that that was my first dance. If I had gone to all the other ones, I would have been bored out of my mind. Music was mainly hip hop or dance, both of which I can only take in small doses. Although there was a period when the DJ played spiffy late 80's/early 90's songs: Vanilla Ice ^_^, Cindy Lauper, Blur, etc.

It was fun seeing all the grads dressed up as "rock" stars (actually mostly pop stars). Heggs, (my fellow Horrible Music Basher), Alli and Kathleen were Josie and the Pussycats. Monique, Ainsle and Anya dressed up as three, uh, hoes, minus a pimp, (there to service the stars, of course). I wore my Bon Jovi bandana (just to show people some real rock stars ^_^), but it was eventually decided that I was groupie/rabid fangirl. But the best dressed girls were, hands down, the two 80's groupies, complete with layers of tights and flouncy clothing, big hoop earrings, garish blue/green make-up and funky hair. I'm not even going to mention what some of the grade 9's wore (mostly painted on by the looks of it).
