Imagine almost 60 young women, all wearing white dress shoes, tottering around a carpeted gym while clutching either a bowling pin, a badminton racket, or a sheaf of paper from the recycling bin held together by an elastic band without tripping on the bags and paper plates littering the floor in front of two rows of metal folding chairs. Then laugh your ass off.
That was what we (grad class) spent two odd hours doing. I guess since the school goes to the trouble of renting out the very swanky Massey Hall for the grad ceremoney, they want it to be perfect. Or, rather, the all-powerful PDP wants it to be perfect. So we had to practice handing off the roses/bowling pins in the proper order and standing up/sitting down in unison. Not a very easy thing to do.
Sleepover yesterday was fun. I'm proud to say I didn't get lost or forget the house number. We went to Loblaws and bought chips, Nestea (what else?) and a chocolate truffle mouse cake. Yum. Passed by the spiffy yellow cartoony house on Gen's street four times. Rented Ocean's 11 and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (my virgin ears). Had an hour long discussion about parents and university life (see: lack of breakfast).
In other news, a new issue of the Clementimes needs to be done by Monday. Also, Homing is coming back today. This means a very busy weekend for Hoyan.
