Next time I decide to wear heels for three hours, do me a favour and smack me upside the head. Aside from the aching feet and the witnessing of many gropy hands, the semiformal was awesome. I very graciously (see: sullenly, resentfully...) allowed Tiff and Ming to slather makeup all over my face beforehand. Okay, okay, it was only foundation, lipstick and eye...stuff (boy, am I uneducated).
Summary: Got to the Argonauts' Rowing Club and ran in accursed heels through bitterly cold parking lot. Unthawed legs. Ming's hair extensions that wouldn't stay up. Tiff and her 'young man' looked very 'kew' together. Music not bad (Naveed! Naveed! Naveed!). Note to self: do not do the Cotton-Eye Joe dance in heels unless you want blistered toes the next day. Constantly collapsing into fits of hilarty with Monique as we invented new dances: the Snoopy dance (nose up, hands waving, feet kicking), the Queen of England dance (smile toothlessly and wave), and the Mr. Bean dance (see: Busking scene). And, of course, the obligatory random yells of "Soylent green is people?! PEOPLE!" punctuating every song.
Only negative moment: Hearing someone throw up in the bathroom because they had too much to drink before. And knowing that many people were probably going to end up in that situation by the next day. Sigh.
